THE MISSION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE SQUAD INC IS TO PROVIDE, AT NO CHARGE, NON-EMERGENCY TRANSPORTATION TO SCHEDULED MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS FOR RESIDENTS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA. 50 VOLUNTEERS PROVIDED 5,187 TRIPS, AT NO CHARGE, FOR NON-EMERGENCY TRANSPORTATION TO AND FROM SCHEDULED MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS FOR RESIDENTS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA. INDIAN RIVER COUNTY VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE SQUAD WAS SHUT DOWN FROM JANUARY 1 TO BEGINNING OF MARCH AS A RESULT OF THE COVID 19 PANDEMIC. VOLUNTEERS AND CLIENTS ARE MOSTLY OVER 60 YEARS OLD AND AT A HIGHER RISK FROM COVID 19.
