THE ANDREW RED HARRIS FOUNDATION WILL CREATE LARGE NEW ARTIFICIAL REEFS IN NORTHERN PALM BEACH COUNTY IN DEPTHS APPROPRIATE FOR SCUBA DIVERS AND FISHERMEN AND SMALLER REEFS IN DEPTHS APPROPRIATE FOR SNORKELERS AND FOR FISHERMEN CATCHING BAIT. WE WILL CREATE VIBRANT NEW HABITATS THAT WILL TAKE PRESSURE OFF OUR NATURAL REEFS, PROMOTE THE REBOUND OF OUR LOCAL MARINE ENVIRONMENT AND IMPROVE OUR LOCAL ECONOMY.

THE ORGANIZATION IS ORGANIZED FOR CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL PURPOSES IN ORDER TO ADVANCE EQUITY FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS BY SUPPORTING PROJECTS OF AAUW FLORIDA THAT ALSO ADVANCE EQUITY FOR WOMEN AND GIRLS AND QUALIFY AS NON-PROFIT TAX EXEMPT ORGANIZATIONS UNDER THE INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE CODE. THE ORGANIZATION SPONSORS TWO ONE WEEK STEM CAMPS FOR GIRLS ENTERING THE 7TH GRADE IN THE FALL. GIRLS WERE NOMINAED BY MATH AND SCIENCE TEACHERS. GIRLS APPLIED, WERE INTERVIEWED AND SELECTED TO ATTEND CAMP. EACH GIRL ATTENDED A 12 HOUR COURSE SUCH AS ROBOTICS, ENGINERING, MARINE BIOLOGY, ETC. THEY ALSO ATTENDED 8 WORKSHOPS, ATTENDED A PANEL DISCUSSION LED BY STEM CAREER WOMEN.THE GIRLS LIVED IN COLLEGE DORMS, ATE IN THE CAFETERIA, AND USED CAMPUS CLASSROOMS AND LABS. FRIDAY THE GIRLS VISITED A NEARBY STEM FACILITY. THE CAMP WAS FREE EXCEPT FOR A SMALL REGISTRATION FEE.

[Many of these are found in section 501(c)(6) business leagues; and 501(c)(6) chambers of commerce.]

MISSION:

ENCOURAGING AND COORDINATING LOCAL VOLUNTEER INVOLVMENT IN THE COMMUNITY THROUGH SUPPORT FOR OTHER LOCAL CHARITIES AND ALSO VOLUNTEER WORK. CURRENTLY SUPPORTING OVER 20 LOCAL CHARITIES.
