THE CORPORATION WAS ORGANIZED TO CONSTRUCT, OWN, AND OPERATE AN AFFORDABLE HOUSING APARTMENT COMMUNITY.

The goal of this organization are the private foundations that make grants based on charitable endowments. Because of their endowments, they are focused primarily on grantmaking and generally do not actively raise funds or seek public financial support. These are the most common type of private foundation. They are generally endowed, usually from a single individual or family. Private foundations are considered family foundations if relatives or the original donor are still active on the board of trustees or in the operation of the foundation.

PROVIDING EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE TOWN OF WATERFORD

THE JAMES A. GREENLEAF, JR. MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND, INC. HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED TO HONOR AND REMEMBER A DEAR FAMILY MEMBER AND FRIEND WHO LOST HIS LIFE AS A RESULT OF THE CATASTROPHE WHICH OCCURRED IN NEW YORK CITY IN 2001. THE FUND IS USED TO PROVIDE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO STUDENTS ATTENDING ST. BERNARDS HIGH SCHOOL.

COMMUNITY VOCATIONAL SERVICES, INC. PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES BY PROVIDING SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT SERVICES AND OTHER COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT ACTIVITIES.

THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE OF EASTERN CONNECTICUT, INC. IS A COLLABORATIVE OF BUSINESS AND COMMUNITY LEADERS DEDICATED TO SECURING AND ENHANCING THE ECONOMIC VITALITY OF EASTERN CONNECTICUT.

THE GOSHEN FIRE DEPARTMENT #3, INC. WAS ESTABLISHED TO PROVIDE VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTING & EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR THE TOWN OF WATERFORD & SURRONDING TOWNS UNDER THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT MUTUAL AID SYSTEM. THE FIRE COMPANY ALSO PROVIDES FIRE TRAINING AND EDUCATION TO VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS.

The goal of this organization is to maintain cemeteries, or provide burial or funeral services for charitable purposes.

RESTORATION OF HARKNESS MEMORIAL STATE PARK, INCLUDING REFURNISHING THE MANSION WITH PERIOD ANTIQUES, RESTORING THE GREENHOUSES (LEAD PAINT & ASBESTOS REMOVAL), AND MAINTAINING THE GARDENS. FUNDRAISING EVENTS ARE USED TO SUPPORT THESE GOALS AND OBJECTIVES.

PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR YOUNG PEOPLE TO PLAY SOCCER ON AGE APPROPRIATE TEAMS AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF COMPETITION AVAILABLE IN THE STATE AND REGION WHILE PROVIDING THEM WITH HIGH LEVELS OF TRAINING AND COACHING.

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people of all ages to learn, become competitive in and enjoy the organized recreational activity, sport or game of their choice. These programs may be offered by local clubs devoted to a particular activity or sport; may provide individual or team coaching assistance or instruction, access to equipment and facilities, and uniforms, if necessary; and may sponsor or make arrangements for athletes to participate in amateur competitions, usually at the local or regional level, and provide officials for games. These events are generally for the enjoyment of the athletes and are not at a high enough competitive level to be considered spectator sports.
