MALTA HOUSE PROVIDES HOMELESS PREGNANT AND PARENTING WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN WITH SOCIAL SERVICES SUPPORT; ON-SITE HOUSING OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR OFF-SITE HOUSEING; CHILD CARE; EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR EMPLOYMENT; AND PARENTING AND INDEPENDENT-LIVING SKILLS TRAINING.

PET ANIMAL WELFARE SOCIETY OF CT (PAWS), ESTABLISHED IN 1962, IS A NO-KILL ANIMAL RESCUE SHELTER DEDICATED TO THE RESCUE AND ADOPTION OF OUR COMMUNITY'S HOMELESS AND ABUSED DOGS AND CATS

FILLING IN THE BLANKS ("FITB") AIMS TO FIGHT CHILDHOOD HUNGER BY PROVIDING CHILDREN IN NEED WITH MEALS ON THE WEEKENDS. FITB STRIVES TO STRENGTHEN AND EMPOWER HEALTHY COMMUNITIES BY INCREASING ACCESS TO HEALTHY FOOD, SPECIFICALLY FOR LOW-INCOME CHILDREN AND THEIR FAMILIES. FITB FULFILLS THIS MISSION BY DELIVERING MEALS DIRECTLY TO CHILDREN FROM LOW-INCOME FAMILIES EACH WEEKEND TO BRIDGE THE GAP WHEN THEY ARE NOT RECEIVING NUTRITION FROM THEIR SCHOOLS, AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAMS, OR CAMPS. THE EXPECTED OUTCOME IS TO REMOVE ONE WORRY FROM THEIR LIVES, PUT THEM ON MORE EQUAL GROUND WITH THEIR FOOD-SECURE PEERS, AND PROVIDE CONSISTENT NUTRITIONAL SUPPORT.

PROVIDE LOW INCOME HOUSING FOR ELDERLY MEN AND WOMEN 62 YEARS OF AGE OR ABOVE.

The goal of this organization is to develop, rehabilitate, manage and/or provide rental housing that is available to people who qualify on the basis of income, age or disability for publicly subsidized housing e.g., HUD housing or housing assistance under Section 8 of the Housing and Urban Development Act.
