MISSION:

THE FRIENDS OF THE WRIGHT OPERA HOUSE ARE DEDICATED TO RESTORING AND PRESERVING THE 1888 HISTORIC WRIGHT OPERA HOUSE PROVIDING A VENUE FOR QUALITY ARTS EDUCATION AND SOCIAL EVENTS THUS CONTRIBUTING TO THE ECONOMIC AND CULTURAL VITALITY OF THE OURAY CO AREA.

MISSION:

OUR MISSION IS TO INVOLVE THE OURAY COUNTY COMMUNITY IN DEVELOPING RESOURCES TO ENRICH OUR STUDENTS' LIVES AND TO BROADEN THEIR EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES. THE GOALS OF THE FOUNDATION ARE:1) TO SECURE RESOURCES FROM INDIVIDUALS, CORPORATIONS, AND FOUNDATIONS TO SUPPORT APPROPRIATE EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL ACTIVITIES THAT BENEFIT STUDENTS IN OURAY COUNTY FOR WHICH FEDERAL, STATE, AND LOCAL FUNDING ARE NOT FULLY AVAILABLE.2) TO PROVIDE RESOURCES WHICH ENCOURAGE THE DEVELOPMENT OF INNOVATIVE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS.3) TO PROVIDE RESOURCES FOR PROGRAMS EXTERNAL TO SCHOOL WHICH ENRICH STUDENT LIVES, BROADEN THEIR EDUCATIONAL AND CULTURAL EXPERIENCES, AND COMPENSATE FOR THE RELATIVE ISOLATION OF THE OURAY COUNTY AREA.4) TO FACILITATE UNDERSTANDING AND COOPERATION BETWEEN RIDGWAY AND OURAY SCHOOLS AND BETWEEN THE SCHOOLS AND THE PEOPLE OF THE COMMUNITY.5) TO ENHANCE EXPOSURE TO RESOURCES AND TRAINING OF GUIDANCE COUNSELORS, TEACHERS, AND STAFF TO IMPROVE THEIR QUALIFICATIONS.6) TO AROUSE VARIOUS ST

PROMOTE THE SPORT OF ICE CLIMBING BY MANAGING AND MAINTAINING THE OURAY ICE PARK IN OURAY, COLORADO.

The goal of this organization are the volunteer and other organizations that provide emergency rescue operations and/or lifesaving activities for people who are stranded, lost, accident victims, or exposed to other life-threatening dangers. Included may be organizations that participate in air rescue, mountain rescue, sea rescue, ski rescue, traffic accident rescue and urban search and rescue operations.

The goal of this organization is to provide telephone crisis intervention services or crisis, short-term and/or ongoing in-person counseling for people who have been sexually assaulted.

The goal of this organization is to serve the interests of the community as a whole and provide services which meet the needs of people who own or rent apartments, condominiums, townhomes, mobile home parks or other housing complexes who are their members.

The goal of this organization is to enable students who demonstrate financial need to obtain the financial assistance they require to meet their educational and living expenses while in school.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people of all ages to learn, become competitive in and enjoy the organized recreational activity, sport or game of their choice. These programs may be offered by local clubs devoted to a particular activity or sport; may provide individual or team coaching assistance or instruction, access to equipment and facilities, and uniforms, if necessary; and may sponsor or make arrangements for athletes to participate in amateur competitions, usually at the local or regional level, and provide officials for games. These events are generally for the enjoyment of the athletes and are not at a high enough competitive level to be considered spectator sports.
