MISSION:

THE LA HONDA VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADE EXISTS TO PROTECT THE LIVES, PROPERTY AND ENVIRONMENT WITHIN THE COMMUNITY AND SURROUNDING AREAS SERVED FROM FIRES, DISASTERS, AND EMERGENCY INCIDENTS THROUGH EDUCATION, PREVENTION, TRAINING AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE. AS A BRIGADE, WE ARE A GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS ORGANIZED TO FUNCTION AS A UNIT IN ORDER TO SERVE THE VISION, VALUES AND GOALS OF OUR COMMUNITY. THE BRIGADE PROMOTES EQUAL SERVICE TO ALL AREAS OF THE REGION IN WHICH IT SERVES.

MISSION:

The goal of this organization is to develop, maintain and make available to the general public recreational areas which are equipped with athletic fields and courts, campgrounds, picnic areas and a variety of recreational trails such as bridle trails, hiking trails, off-the-road vehicle trails and snowmobile trails.

TO PROVIDE EDUCATION, ASSISTANCE AND OUTREACH PROGRAMS FOR FIRE PREVENTION AND PREPAREDNESS TO ALL SOUTH SKYLINE RESIDENTS WITHIN THE COUNCIL AREA IN ORDER TO PREVENT THE LOSS OF LIVES AND REDUCE LOSSES OF PERSONAL AND PUBLIC PROPERTY AND NATURAL RESOURCES FROM WILDFIRE
