TO PROTECT AND RESTORE THE ECOSYSTEM OF THE SOUTHERN SIERRA NEVADA - INCLUDING BOTH THE SEQUOIA NATIONAL FOREST AND THE GIANT SEQUOIA MONUMENT - THROUGH MONITORING, ENFORCEMENT, LITIGATION, AND PUBLIC AWARENESS.BY ACTING AS THE EYES, EARS, AND VOICE OF THE FOREST, SFK SEEKS TO IMPROVE LAND MANAGEMENT PRACTICES; PROMOTE LAND STEWARDSHIP; PROMOTE ENFORCEMENT OF EXISTING LAWS AND REGULATIONS; IMPLEMENT PUBLIC AWARENESS PROGRAMS AND OFFER ASSISTANCE TO LOCAL LAND MANAGEMENT AGENCIES.
