LOCAL UNION #700 IS THE AREA CHAPTER OF THE INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS (IBEW) WHICH IS AFFILIATED WITH THE AMERICAN FEDERATION OF LABOR, THE CONGRESS OF THE INDUSTRIAL ORGANIZATION, AND THE CANADIAN LABOUR CONGRESS. THE IBEW HAS JURISDICTION OVER ALL UNION ELECTRICAL WORKERS IN THE UNITED STATES AND CANADA.

The goal of this organization is to sponsor activities which celebrate, memorialize and sometimes recreate important events in history such as battles, treaties, speeches, centennials, independence days, catastrophes that had an important impact or other similar occasions.

NOW SERVING FIVE COUNTIES IN ARKANSAS AND TWO IN OKLAHOMA, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES SERVICES FOR WORKING FAMILIES, FAMILIES WITH CHILDREN, ELDERLY AND DISABLED WITH UTILITY BILLS, MEDICATION AND OTHER NEEDS ON AN EMERGENCY BASIS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO HAS A FOOD PANTRY OF BOTH PERISHABLE AND FRESH/FROZEN FOODS FOR THE SAME POPULATION.

TO PROVIDE A SAFE, ENCOURAGING ATMOSPHERE IN A HOMELIKE SETTING FOR FEMALES AGED 12-17 YEARS THAT HAVE BEEN ORDERED THROUGH THE COURTS INTO OUR PROGRAM. TO PROMOTE POSITIVE BEHAVIORS, CHARACTER ENHANCEMENT AND EDUCATIONAL ADVANCEMENT. TO REUNITE WITH THE FAMILY IF POSSIBLE.

TO PROFESSIONALLY SERVE THE NEEDS OF TROUBLED YOUTH AND THEIR FAMILIES IN THE COMMUNITY AND IN THE LEAST RESTRICTIVE ENVIRONMENT BY PROVIDING A VARIETY OF SERVICES THAT WILL: PROMOTE FAMILY REUNIFICATION, REDUCE FAMILY CONFLICT, PREVENT JUVENILE DELINQUENCY, AND PREVENT A YOUTH'S ENTRY OR FURTHER ADVANCEMENT INTO THE JUVENILE JUSTICE SYSTEM.
