COMMONWEALTH CHRISTIAN ACADEMY IS A PRIVATE CHRISTIAN SCHOOL WHICH PROVIDES A QUALITY, BIBLICALLY-BASED, JESUS CHRIST CENTERED EDUCATION FOR UNDERPRIVILEDGED, AT-RISK CHILDREN IN THE CITY OF RICHMOND. THE CURRENT ENROLLMENT STANDS AT 26 STUDENTS RANGING FROM GRADES K-12. TUITION INCLUDES EDUCATION FOR ONE YEAR, FIELD TRIPS, SUPPLIES AND HOT LUNCHES DAILY. ALTHOUGH THE ANNUAL COST FOR EACH STUDENT STANDS AT APPROXIMATELY 7,000 PER YEAR, TUITION IS BASED ON EACH STUDENT'S PARENT'S INCOME AND IS OFTEN AROUND 55 PER MONTH. THE REMAINING FUNDS ARE PROVIDED BY DONATIONS FROM CARING SUPPORTERS.

THE MISSION AND PURPOSE IS TO SUPPORT THE WHOLE CHILD IN AN ENVIRONMENT WHERE CHILDHOOD IS RESPECTED AND WHERE CHILDREN ARE VALUED AS UNIQUE LEARNERS WHO ARE GROWING INTO IMAGINATIVE, CRITICAL THINKERS AND COMPASSIONATE MEMBERS OF SOCIETY.
