WE STRIVE TO INSPIRE TEAMWORK, DRIVE, PASSION--AND PURE JOY--IN TENS OF THOUSANDS OF PLAYERS ACROSS NEW YORK CITY, THE UNITED STATES, AND THE GLOBE. OUR PROGRAMS ARE SHAPED AROUND TWO CORE VALUES: INCLUSION AND ACCESS. WE STRIVE TO MAKE ALL OF OUR PLAY SPACES WELCOMING TO ALL PLAYERS, HOWEVER, INCLUSION CANNOT TRULY BE ACHIEVED WITHOUT WORKING TOWARDS BREAKING DOWN THE OFTENTIMES UNIQUE BARRIERS THAT MAY PREVENT INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS FROM FULLY PARTICIPATING AND REACHING THEIR POTENTIAL.

PICKUP SOCCER YOUTH OUTREACH, INC. IS A 501C3 RECREATIONAL ATHLETIC PUBLIC YOUTH OUTREACH CHARITY LOCATED LOCATED IN THE MANHATTAN BOROUGH OF NEW YORK CITY WHICH CONDUCTS CHARITABLE COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES TO BENEFIT UNDER-SERVED YOUTH UNDER THE AGE OF 19 WHO RESIDE IN THE LOCAL COMMUNITY AND ARE FROM LOW-INCOME ECONOMIC BACKGROUNDS. TO FURTHER ITS MISSION, EACH YEAR THE ORGANIZATION HOLDS A DAY-LONG COACHING TRAINING SESSION TO EDUCATE AND PREPARE ITS VOLUNTEER COACHES. THE KIDS CLASSIC/FREE PLAY IS AN ANNUAL PROGRAM HELD DURING THE SUMMER THAT CURRENTLY SERVES SIXTY-FOUR, AGE 4-18 YEAR-OLD UNDERSERVED YOUTH FROM NEW YORK CITY'S FIVE BOROUGHS WHO ARE ECONOMICALLY-DISADVANTAGED AND POSSESS ONE OR MORE ADDITIONAL RISK FACTORS IN THEIR BACKGROUNDS. THE KIDS CLASSIC/FREE PLAY IS FREE TO ALL PARTICIPANTS, DESIGNED TO BUILD POSITIVE INTERACTION, TEAMWORK, FRIENDSHIP AND CAMARADERIE WHILE IMPROVING SOCCER SKILLS IN A POSITIVE SETTING OF PEERS, MENTORS AND COACHES.
