THE ALTMAR VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPT., INC. WAS INCORPORATED ON MARCH 26, 2013 AND BEGAN PROVIDING SERVICES TO THE TOWN OF ALBION ON JUNE 1, 2013 FOLLOWING THE DISSOLUTION OF THE VILLAGE OF ALTMAR. THE PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION, AS STATED IN THE ARTICLES OF INCORPORATION IS TO "PROVIDE FIREFIGHTING, TRAINING, PREVENTION AND ALL OTHER RELATED ACTIVITIES FOR PROVIDING THESE SERVICES." THE ORGANIZATION IS COMPOSED SOLELY OF VOLUNTEERS WHO, AS TRAINED AND CERTIFIED FIRE FIGHTERS, RESPOND TO NOTIFICATIONS PROVIDED BY EMERGENCY SERVICES AND OTHERS BY "ALARM, OR TELEPHONE OR IN ANY OTHER MANNER" TO "DILIGENTLY AND IN EVERYWAY REASONABLY SUGGESTED TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE AND TO SAVE LIFE AND PROPERTY IN CONNECTION THEREIN."

MISSION:

TO PROVIDE FUNDING FOR MEDICAL AND HUMANITARIAN PROJECTS THROUGHOUT ISRAEL. THE ORGANIZATION MIGHT MAKE GRANTS TO OTHER ORGANIZATIONS PROVIDING SUCH SERVICES, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, EVP ISRAEL AND ISRAEL EMERGENCY AID FUND, ISRAELI ORGANIZATIONS WHICH PROVIDES MEDICAL AND HUMANITARIAN SERVICES TO THE CIVILIAN POPULATION IN ISRAEL. 49 VOLUNTEERS FROM THE UNITED STATES AND 150 VOLUNTEERS FROM ISRAEL PARTICIPATING IN THE TRAINING AND FOOD PROGRAMS.
