IT HAS BEEN SUCCESSFULLY USED IN COMMUNITIES IN 26 STATES AS WELL AS IN ENGLAND AND CANADA. CAP FOCUSES ON TEACHING CHILDREN SELF ASSERTIVENESS, THE USE OF PEER SUPPORT, AND THE IMPORTANCE OF COMMUNICATING WITH TRUSTED ADULTS. THROUGH TEACHER IN SERVICE, PARENT WORKSHOPS, AND INDIVIDUAL CLASSROOM WORKSHOPS, CAP TRAINERS GENERATE BELIEF IN THE ISSUE OF CHILDREN'S RIGHTS AND PROVIDE INFORMATION ON THE SUBJECT. ADULT WORKSHOPS INCLUDE HOW TO IDENTIFY AN ABUSED CHILD AND ABUSIVE PARENTS, ACTIVITIES FOR SCHOOL AND HOME TO REIFORCE CAP STRATEGIES, AND WAYS TO TALK TO CHILDREN ABOUT PERSONAL ASSAULT ISSUES.
