THE PURPOSE OF THE LIVONIA JUNIOR ATHLETIC LEAGUE IS TO PROVIDE YOUTH AGES 8 TO 17, WHO RESIDE IN THE LIVONIA OR CLARENCEVILLE SCHOOL DISTRICT, AN OPPPORTUNTY TO PLAY ORGANIZED BASEBALL, BASKETBALL, FOOTBALL AND CHEERLEADING. EMPHASIS IS PLACED ON PROMOTING SPORTSMANSHIP, CITIZENSHIP, AND THE PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT OF ALL YOUTH.

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people to learn and become competitive in archery; fly or bait fishing; game bird, game fowl, or game animal hunting; fox hunting; and/or the use of firearms on the target range.

THE ORGANIZATION'S PRIMARY EXEMPT PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE HIGH SCHOOL INTERSCHOLASTIC ATHLETICS IN THE CITY OF EAST GRAND RAPIDS BY PURCHASING ATHLETIC EQUIPMENT, TEAM UNIFORMS, TEAM PICTURES, COACHING CLINICS, ETC ANDTHEREBY LESSEN THE BURDENS OF GOVERNMENT AND ENCOURAGE TRAINING INATHLETICS.

CELEBRATION OF CITY BIRTHDAY TO CONDUCT BUSINESS PURSUANT TO AND IN CONNECTION WITH CELEBRATING ANNIVERSARIES OF THE INCORPORATION OF THE CITY OF LIVONIA, MICHIGAN; FURTHER, BY WAY OF EXAMPLE, BUT NOT LIMITATION: TO CONDUCT PICNICS, DINNER-DANCES, SPORTS EVENTS, PARADES, CARNIVALS AND TO SELL TICKETS FOR ALL OF THE FOREGOING TO PROMOTE PAGEANTS; TO HIRE BANDS AND ORCHESTRAS; TO RENT ANY PREMISES NECESSARY FOR THE STAGING OR HOLDING OF ANY CIVIC FUNCTION CONNECTED OR RELATE TO ANY OF THE FOREGOING; TO PURCHASE NECESSARY SUPPLIES, MERCHANDISE, FOOD AND BEVERAGES; TO SELL AND DISPENSE SOUVENIRS, FOOD, SOFT DRINKS, AND BEER.

MISSION:

TO PROVIDE EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE FOR YOUTH SOCCER PLAYERS AND ALSO TO (SEE SCHEDULE O) TRAIN YOUTHS TO BECOME QUALITY PLAYERS WHILE GAINING LIFELONG LESSONS AND EXPERIENCES. THE MICHIGAN JAGUARS FC TOOK OVER OPERATIONS OF THE JAGUARS FROM THE NOVI JAGUAR SOCCER ASSOCIATION EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2011.

These programs may be offered by local clubs devoted to a particular activity or sport; may provide individual or team coaching assistance or instruction, access to equipment and facilities, and uniforms, if necessary; and may sponsor or make arrangements for athletes to participate in amateur competitions, usually at the local or regional level, and provide officials for games. These events are generally for the enjoyment of the athletes and are not at a high enough competitive level to be considered spectator sports.

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people to learn and become competitive in ice hockey, ice skating, alpine and cross-country skiing, sledding/tobogganing and other winter sports. Coaching; access to skating rinks, ski slopes or other facilities; sports equipment; and officials for competitions are generally included.

THE SHERIFF PAL (POLICE ATHLETIC LEAGUE) PROGRAM AIMS TO CREATE A SAFE ENVIRONMENT AND A STRUCTURE WHERE LAW ENFORCEMENT AND COMMUNITY PARTNERS EMPOWER YOUNG PEOPLE TO REACH THEIR FULL POTENTIAL THROUGH ATHLETICS, MENTORING, AND OTHER PROGRAMS.
