BARKA FOUNDATION HAS FIVE AREAS OF FOCUS: -PROVIDE SUSTAINABLE ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER, IMPROVED SANITATION AND HYGIENE EDUCATION (WASH) -HELP COMMUNITIES ACHIEVE GENDER EQUALITY -DEVELOP COMMUNITY RESILIENCE THROUGH FOOD SECURITY PROGRAMS -UTILIZE MEDIA AND THE CULTURAL ARTS TO STRENGTHEN THE CAPACITIES OF LOCAL POPULATIONS -EDUCATE US STUDENTS AND COMMUNITIES ABOUT AFRICA

PORTLAND EDUCATION ASSOCIATION IS A PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATION WHOSE MISSION IS TO SUPPORT EDUCATORS AND EDUCATIONAL TECHNICIANS WITHIN THE PORTLAND PUBLIC SCHOOLS.

The goal of this organization is to operate institutions outside the formal system of regular schools, colleges, universities and technical/trade schools that provide opportunities for adults to develop basic learning and communication skills, complete their high school education, expand their knowledge in a particular field or discipline or develop skills in a new area of interest.

CENTRAL MAINE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY PROVIDES AN EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM FOR APPROXIMATELY 100 STUDENTS IN PRESCHOOL THROUGH GRADE12, AS WELL AS OPERATES A STATE LICENSED DAYCARE FOR CHILDREN AGES 1- 4. CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AND DOCTRINE ARE A PART OF THE EDUCTIONAL PROGRAM.
