MISSION:

BAY AREA VOLLEYBALL ACADEMY IS A NON-PROFIT JUNIOR OLYMPIC VOLLEYBALL CLUB THAT IS DEDICATED TO PROVIDING AN EXCEPTIONAL DEVELOPMENTAL AND COMPETITIVE VOLLEYBALL EXPERIENCE FOR FEMALE PLAYERS IN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY AND SURROUNDING COUNTIES. THIS PROGRAM IS COMMITTED TO THE COMMUNITY AND PROMOTES STRONG RELATIONSHIPS BETWEEN PLAYERS, COACHES AND PARENTS. THE ACADEMY AIMS TO CHALLENGE ATHLETES TO ACHIEVE THEIR POTENTIAL WHILE DEVELOPING SKILLS NEEDED TO COMPETE AT A HIGHLY COMPETITIVE LEVEL. THROUGH PARTICIPATION AND EDUCATION, THE PROGRAM EMPHASIZES THE VALUE OF SPORTSMANSHIP, CHARACTER, SELF-DISCIPLINE, AND TEAMWORK. IT IS THE GOAL OF THE CLUB FOR EACH ATHLETE TO ATTAIN THE SATISFACTION AND ENJOYMENT OF PLAYING COMPETITIVE VOLLEYBALL BUT WITH A PERSPECTIVE RECOGNIZING BALANCE IN ONE'S PERSONAL LIFE.

The goal of this organization is to operate societies, professional councils, and other organizations that bring together individuals or organizations with a common professional or vocational interest within the Recreation, Sports, Leisure, Athletics major group area.

The goal of this organization is to provide opportunities for people of all ages to learn, become competitive in and enjoy the organized recreational activity, sport or game of their choice. These programs may be offered by local clubs devoted to a particular activity or sport; may provide individual or team coaching assistance or instruction, access to equipment and facilities, and uniforms, if necessary; and may sponsor or make arrangements for athletes to participate in amateur competitions, usually at the local or regional level, and provide officials for games. These events are generally for the enjoyment of the athletes and are not at a high enough competitive level to be considered spectator sports.

TO PROVIDE SWIMMING INSTRUCTION TO ALL LEVELS OF ATHLETE, MEMBERS FROM NOVICE TO ELITE INCLUDING STROKE DISCIPLINE, STARTS, TURNS AND REFINEMENT. PROVIDES MENTAL AND PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT FOR EACH MEMBER.

CHARITABLE, EDUCATIONAL, SCIENTIFIC MISSION: TO ADVANCE THE SCIENCE & ART OF MOTORLESS FLIGHT THROUGH FLIGHT INSTRUCTION, YOUTH SCHOLARSHIPS, EDUCATION PROGRAMS; TO PROVIDE FLIGHT EQUIPMENT & SERVICES FACILITIES TO MEMBERS/COMMUNITY; TO RESEARCH SCIENTIFIC TECHNIQUES OF SOARING.

THE MISSION OF ST MARY'S COLLEGE OF MARYLAND BOAT FOUNDATION IS TO SUPPORT THE BOATING AND SAILING PROGRAM OF ST. MARY'S COLLEGE OF MARYLAND, AND TO PROVIDE THE RESOURCES TO FURTHER EDUCATION AND TRAINING ON THE WATER.

TO PROMOTE OUTDOOR HUNTING & FISHING ACTIVITIES INCLUDING CONSERVATION AND PRESERVATION OF WOODLAND HABITAT AND FOREST HEALTH. WORK WITH THE COMMUNITY ON FOREST AND CLEAN WATER MEASURES AND PRESERVATION OF FOREST ACREAGE IN ACCORDANCE WITH MARYLAND DNR & FOREST CONSERVATION ACT.

THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES ACCESS TO AND USE OF A BASEBALL FIELD TO INDIVIDUAL CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES WHO ARE REGISTERED MEMBERS OF A BASEBALL TEAM AFFILATED WITH THE MIRACLE LEAGUE.
