IS A NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION THAT WAS FORMED ON JUNE 9, 1992 FOR THE PURPOSE TO PROMOTE THE PRESERVATION OF HOUSING FOR LOW AND MODERATE INCOME RESIDENTS OF CENTRAL APPALACHIA; TO PROVIDE RESOURCES TO HOUSING DEVELOPMENT CORPORATIONS AND ORGANIZATIONS TO FACILITATE THE PROVISION OF HOUSING FOR LOW AND MODERATE INCOME RESIDENTS IN CENTRAL APPALACHIA; TO CONDUCT RESEARCH AS RELATED TO THE PRODUCTION AND DESIGN OF LOW AND MODERATE INCOME HOUSES IN CENTRAL APPALACHIA; TO CARRY OUT ALL OTHER ACTIVITIES RELATED TO THE CIVIC BETTERMENT AND SOCIAL IMPROVEMENT OF LOW AND MODERATE INCOME FAMILIES IN CENTRAL APPALACHIA.
