SHALL PLAN, COORDINATE, AND SUBMIT APPLICATIONS FOR GRANT FUNDING AND DISTRIBUTE GRANT FUNDS RECEIVED FROM THE INDIANA BIOTERRORISM HOSPITAL PLANNING FUND, THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES, THE ASSISTANT SECRETARY OF PREPAREDNESS AND RESPONSE, AND/OR SIMILAR ORGANIZATIONS, FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE COMMUNITIES SERVED BY DISTRICT 1 HOSPITALS. THE INDIANA COUNTIES COMPRISING DISTRICT 1 ARE LAKE, PORTER, LAPORTE, JASPER, AND NEWTON COUNTIES.
