GATEWAY FAMILY SERVICES OF ILLINOIS EXISTS TO HELP THOSE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED TRAUMA BY PROVIDING INDIVIDUALIZED, INNOVATIVE AND INTENSIVE COUNSELING SERVICES THAT INCLUDE TRAUMA FOCUSED-EQUINE ASSISTED PSYCHOTHERAPY AND EYE MOVEMENT DESENSITIZATION & REPROCESSING (EMDR), AS WELL AS ART, PLAY, SAND AND NATURE THERAPIES TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES.

The goal of this organization is to provide in-person or telephone assistance for people who are in acute emotional distress; who are a danger to themselves or to others; who are having suicidal feelings; or who are hysterical, frightened or otherwise unable to cope with a problem that requires immediate action.
