THE EDWARDS COUNTY EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE (EMS) WAS ORGANIZED 2/15/05 TO PROVIDE AMBULANCE AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICE TO THE 6,758 RESIDENTS OF THIS RURAL COUNTY IN SOUTHEASTERN ILLINOIS WITHOUT REGARD TO THE PATIENT'S ABILITY TO PAY FOR SUCH SERVICES.

AMERICAN MUSLIM PHYSICIAN OF INDIAN ORIGIN (AMPI) IS COOPERATING WITH HEALTH CLINICS IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, SPECIFICALLY PHYSICIANS WHO ARE MEMBERS OF AMPI, VOLUNTEER THEIR TIME AND TALENTS TO THE TREATMENT OF LOW INCOME INDIVIDUALS IN THE CHICAGO, ILLINOIS AREA.AMERICAN MUSLIM PHYSICIAN OF INDIAN ORIGIN IS CURRENTLY DEVELOPING PLANS TO OPEN UP TWO CLINICS IN INDIA, WHICH WILL PROVIDE MEDICAL TREATMENT AND SUPPLIES TO POOR CITIZENS OF INDIA.
