FLORIDA CARES CHARITY CORP. IS A STATEWIDE, GRASSROOTS, COMMUNITY BASED VOULENTEER DRIVEN NON-PROFIT WHOSE MISSION IS DEDICATED TO IMPROVING THE LIVES OF THE INCARCERATED IN FLORIDA THROUGH VISITATION, PROGRAMS, EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY.

SEEKS TO OFFER EFFECTIVE PREVENTION AND DISCIPLESHIP PROGRAMS TO YOUTH AND INMATES IN SOUTHEAST TENNESSEE AND NORTHWEST GEORGIA, RESULTING IN LOWER INCARCERATION RATES AMONG YOUTH AND LOWER RECIDIVISM RATES AMONG PARTICIPATING INMATES.

RECIDIVISM RATES HAVE REMAINED CONSISTENTLY LOWER THAN OTHERWISE CHARGED INDIVIDUALS WITH NO INCREASED RISK TO PUBLIC SAFETY.

UNPACK IS A TWO-TIERED APPROACH TO HELP WOMEN UNPACK THE PAIN OF THEIR PASTS AS WELL AS HELP THEM ON THE ROAD TO RESIDENCY WHERE THEY CAN UNPACK THEIR THINGS AND MAKE A HOME FOR THEMSELVES AND THEIR CHILDREN. WE WORK WITH SINGLE WOMEN WHETHER THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN MARRIED OR THOSE WHO FIND THEMSELVES BEGINNING AGAIN; SOME OUT OF INCARCERATION, SOME OUT OF ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIPS, AND OTHERS FACING UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES WHERE THEY ARE STARTING ANEW. OUR MISSION IS TO SHARE THE LOVE OF CHRIST TO SINGLE WOMEN IN A TANGIBLE WAY. WE HOST A WEEKLY "FAMILY MEETING" WHERE WE TEACH BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES OF HOW TO PRACTICALLY WALK OUT A PRODUCTIVE LIFE.

OUR MISSION IS TO ADDRESS BARRIERS FACED BY NATIVE PEOPLE WHO FIND THEMSELVES STRUGGLING TO TRANSITION FROM A LIFE OF INCARCERATION TO ONE OF HEALTHY AND PRODUCTIVE FREEDOM. OUR GOAL IS TO SUPPORT SUCCESSFUL REINTEGRATION INTO NATIVE AMERICAN/ABORIGINAL RESERVATION AND URBAN COMMUNITIES AND REDUCE RECIDIVISM THROUGH NATIVE AMERICAN/ABORIGINAL TRADITIONAL MEANS.
