MISSION:

THE ANACORTES ARTS FESTIVAL OCCURS ANNUALLY FOR THE LAST 58 YEARS, ON THE FIRST WEEKEND IN AUGUST. MORE THAN 100,000 VISITORS COME FOR A THREE DAY FESTIVAL THAT INCLUDES 265 BOOTH ARTISTS, THREE STAGES OF MUSIC, A FINE ART SHOW, YOUTH ACTIVITIES AND MORE. THE FESTIVAL IS 100 SELF-FUNDED THROUGH BOOTH ARTIST FEES, ART SALES AND SPONSORSHIPS.

MISSION:

THE MISSION OF THE FARMINGTON VALLEY ARTS CENTER IS TO CONNECT THE COMMUNITY TO THE CREATIVE PROCESS THROUGH ARTS EDUCATION FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES, SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGE WORKING ARTISTS, SERVE AS A COMMUNITY RESOURCE

ORGANIZE AND PROVIDE ARTS EDUCATION AND COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT. A BUILDING WILL BE RENOVATED AS A FACILITY TO EDUCATE, PROMOTE,AND PROVIDE ART FOR THE COMMUNITY. THIS WILL INCLUDE MUSICAL PERFORMANCES, ART DISPLAYS, AND DRAMAS.

ESTABLISHED OVER TWENTY-FIVE YEARS AGO, THE FORUM EXPLORES IDEAS RELATED TO HOW AND WHY DESIGN MATTERS IN OUR DAILY LIVES THROUGH DYNAMIC PROGRAMMING CENTERED ON CURRENT TOPICS AND TRENDS IN ARCHITECTURE, LANDSCAPE ARCHITECTURE, INTERIOR DESIGN, URBAN PLANNING, ENGINEERING, CONSTRUCTION, AND OTHER RELATED FIELDS OF ART AND DESIGN. OUR COLLABORATIVE PROGRAMMING AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH ARE ENRICHED BY THE ACTIVE INVOLVEMENT AND LEADERSHIP OF BUSINESSES, ARTS AND CULTURAL ORGANIZATIONS, AND GOVERNMENT AND ACADEMIC INSTITUTIONS AT REGIONAL, NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL LEVELS.
